Be a volunteer for holiday cheer at the 15th annual Holiday Extravaganza at CWU. On Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CWU Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Marketplace, volunteers will help K-5 children and their families create holiday crafts, art and goodies from around the world. Volunteering is free, and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided, in addition to a free Holiday Extravaganza t-shirt.
Each year, the Holiday Extravaganza provides children with the opportunity to not only get in the holiday spirit, but also learn about the holiday traditions of different cultures. This year, volunteers will help children with crafts from France, Germany, Russia and many other countries at over 35 fun and safe stations.
Visit the CLCE office in SURC 256 to start volunteering. Those who have volunteered with the CLCE before can sign up for 15th Annual Holiday Extravaganza at www.cwu.edu/leadership-engage. Volunteers must register before the Monday, November 23 deadline.
