Applications for many temporary summer jobs on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest must be submitted through USAJOBS January 6-12, 2015.
In addition to approximately 50 temporary fire-related positions (on engine, helitack/rappel, hotshot, fire suppression, and hazardous fuels reduction crews, and in dispatch communication), several timber, recreation, and biology positions are also available. Some additional temporary jobs will be advertised in February and March.
“If you think you might be interested in working on the Forest this summer, I would encourage you to see what’s available now and not to wait until the last minute to apply,” said Assistant Forest Training Officer Jason Heinz.
Descriptions of positions can be found on the Forest Service outreach website at https://fsoutreach.gdcii.com/Outreach. Enter 110617 in the organization box to limit the search to jobs on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The outreach notice lists the announcement number to use to find and apply for the job on USAJOBS.
Applications will be accepted only through the USAJOBS website, www.usajobs.gov, between January 6 and January 12, 2015. Potential applicants are encouraged to access the website early to allow time to create or update their user accounts.
