September 19, 2015

LEAVENWORTH, Washington—The Wenatchee River Salmon Festival invites your entire family to the 25th Anniversary of Salmon Fest on family day, September 19th, 2015.

The Wenatchee River Salmon Fest is an annual event held at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery near Leavenworth, Washington.  Our celebration will be much bigger this year as we celebrate the festival’s 25th Anniversary AND the 75th Anniversary of the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery.  School Days are September 17-18th, 2015, culminating with a funtastical event September 19th.

Salmon Fest is an award winning event devoted to engaging families in fun-filled “edu-tainment”, a venue that is both educational and fun at the same time.  Salmon Fest’s mission is to connect people of all ages to nature by helping people discover and appreciate the diversity and importance of the great outdoors.  Our location within the striking Icicle Valley is a prime spot to enjoy both nature’s stunning beauty and the interconnectivity of nature within our lives, and to gain an understanding of the cultural significance of salmon to all people.

The festival attracts 10,000 people annually from across the northwest and Canada.

Recognized internationally for its educational excellence, Salmon Fest is located just two miles away from the “Bavarian Village” of Leavenworth, the Ultimate Christmas town (featured on “Good Morning America”).  Both parking and entrance are free!

Come and enjoy a spectacular weekend of fun, outdoor recreation at Salmon Fest September 19th, 2015.  For further information swim to our website:  www.salmonfest.org

Hosted by the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Chelan County PUD and Friends of Northwest Hatcheries.
