February 206:30 p.m.Black Hall Room 150 Free and open to the publicFree pizza and beverages will be servedIntroduction and discussion by Professor Mark Auslander Director of the Museum of Culture & Environment Brooks Library in collaboration with Africana and Black Studies Museum of Culture and Environment and Student Success is celebrating Black History Month with a three part film and discussion series entitled Created Equal Film Series: America’s Civil Rights Struggle. “Slavery by Another Name” is a documentary that recounts the many ways in which American slavery persisted as a practice many decades after its supposed abolition. “Created Equal Film Series: America’s Civil Rights Struggle” is made possible through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
