Navigating Digital Information Crash Course Discussion Group

An event every week that begins at 3:00 PM on Thursday, repeating until April 22, 2021
Join the LWV for a new 10 week online discussion group. Each week, we will view and discuss one of John Green’s Crash Course YouTube videos titled Navigating Digital Information. These 10-15 minute videos are designed to educate teens and adults through a fast-paced, humorous, and entertaining approach.
Participants may attend any or all sessions:
Feb 18: Introduction to Crash Course
Feb 25: The Facts about Fact Checking
March 4: Check Yourself with Lateral Reading
March 11: Who Can you Trust?
March 18: Using Wikipedia
March 25: Evaluating Evidence
April 1: Evaluating Photos and Videos
April 8: Data and Infographics
April 15: Click Restraint
April 22: Social Media
Katherine Murphy will lead the discussions, which will be recorded and posted on the LWV of Kittitas County YouTube channel.
