Central Washington University’s Red Bull Paper Wings Qualifier will take place at 11:30 a.m. on April 2, 2015 in the Student Union and Recreation Center. The event will host 25 participants competing in three categories, including longest distance, longest airtime, and aerobatics for one chance to fly to Salzburg, Austria and compete in the World Finals on May 8 and 9. The United States will hold a total of 75 National Qualifiers, with two thousand participants from coast to coast. The top performers in longest distance and longest airtime will earn a spot in the global final. The aerobatics winner will be determined by crowd response via an online voting platform. In addition to this qualifier, more than 80 countries on four continents will be participating in the Red Bull Paper Wings.
The global finals will be held on May 8 and 9 at the iconic Hanger-7 in Salzburg, Austria, home of the world’s most spectacular flying machines on display.
