A joint public hearing to consider the SMP amendments will be held:
Tuesday, February 9, 2021
6:00 pm virtual public hearing

Kittitas County is required to review its SMP on an eight-year schedule set in state law and revise it if necessary. The review ensures the SMP keeps up with changes in state law, changes in other Kittitas County plans and regulations, and other changed local circumstances.
The county has prepared draft amendments to the SMP for public review. The county will prepare a response to comments and determine if changes are needed. Public comments and the county’s responses will be shared with Ecology. After the county makes its final decision, it will send its findings to Ecology for approval.
The proposed SMP amendments are available at the Kittitas County website:
Comments can be sent to Kittitas County Long Range Planner, Bridget Pechtel, at firstname.lastname@example.org or SMPUpdate@co.kittitas.wa.us , or sent to 411 N Ruby ST, Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926.
