University Recreation and the Department of Military Sciences are celebrating Student Appreciation Day by hosting the first ever Wildcat Warrior Dash May 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. Registration is available at the Recreation Center front desk and is $20 for CWU students and Recreation Center members and $40 for non-members. Inspired by the popular Warrior Dash series the Wildcat Warrior Dash is a 5k with a twist. Along with the running competitors will also have to maneuver their way across 12 obstacles. These obstacles will have participants doing everything from crawling through mud to carrying logs on their way to the finish line. The course will begin at the Language and Literature building at the north end of campus. From there participants will take on obstacles as they make their way down Nicholson Blvd. through the Alder Recreation Complex across 18th St. and down D St. before finishing at the library. All proceeds will benefit Collegiate Sport Clubs. For more information call 509-963-3537 or email email@example.com.
