SUMMARY:Live Animation at Punch! “Cartoon Mess Live”
DESCRIPTION:Open 12-5pm Saturday\, October 18 with “Cartoon Mess Live” performing interactive animation on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. In the PUNCH Gallery\, join us for the continuation of “Monster Mash” a Halloween-inspired group exhibition.\n“Monster Mash” was an invitation to showcase your spookiest\, nastiest\, most ghoulish monstrosities ever witnessed. We asked for paintings\, collages\, drawings\, sculptures\, Polaroids\, ceramics\, fiber arts\, cartoons\, papier-mâché piñatas\, video works\, macaroni art for crying out loud! The only catch was that submitted works absolutely had to be terrifying in nature. Werewolves\, vampires\, specters\, zombies\, mummies\, mommies\, ghouls\, goblins\, politicians\, creatures that go bump in the night\, you get the point. Ask and ye shall receive!\nSome of our favorite artists have been working late in their labs\, so come and behold these eerie sights. Come a feast your eyes upon felted eyeballs\, a woodblock gargoyle\, vexing taxidermy\, a nude with boils\, medical diagram montages\, a chimera straight out of the book of revelation\, a true black metal lord\, leafless trees that would have the headless horse-folks shaking in their stirrups\, collaged crustaceans made from old bedsheets\, a CPR baby that might have you second guessing your method of chest compressions and at least one spooky coyote.\nNot to mention\, we’ve got beverages and snacks in the Punch Snack Bar.\nPlan to arrive early for a good seat!\nJoin us for this free\, all-ages event at Punch Projects in Thorp\, Washington.
