He documents local and regional underground music scenes where his images capture the frenetic energy\, charisma\, attitude and angst that is on full display at these live shows.\n\nFuller started this photographic exploration in April of 2023\, where he documented the house venue scene of Seattle and eventually made his way to photographing larger acts like Mac DeMarco\, Built to Spill\, Japanese Breakfast\, Zookraught and many more. Both revered and feared by ancient cultures\, owls are still mysterious creatures to most of us.\nJoin local birder and naturalist Deborah Essman for an information packed program about these denizens of our local fields and forest\, then come back for an evening prowl to listen for owls in the Yakima River Canyon! Reservations recommended at www.CanyonRiverGrill.com.\nMeet Deborah Essman:\n·       A resident of Kittitas County for 36 year and originally from California\, Deborah majored in Natural Resources Management at Cal-Poly S.L.O. and worked as a naturalist at Morro Bay State Park while attending college.\n·       She has worn many hats in the conservation world: raptor rehabilitator for almost a decade in California\, taught ornithology at a community college\, veterinary technician and eagle release coordinator at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle\, Game Warden for the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife for 8 years (including a couple years as a Detective in the Special Investigative Unit).\n·       Currently Essman volunteers as: WDFW Hunter Education instructor\, birding field trip leader for several organizations (including over 20 years for the Kittitas Environmental Education Network’s annual “Get Intimate with the Shrub-steppe event); and teaching kids about wildlife tracking at Ellensburg School District’s 5th Grade Camp for over 30 years.\n·       Essman continues to serve on several committees for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Natural Resources.

He documents local and regional underground music scenes where his images capture the frenetic energy\, charisma\, attitude and angst that is on full display at these live shows.\n\nFuller started this photographic exploration in April of 2023\, where he documented the house venue scene of Seattle and eventually made his way to photographing larger acts like Mac DeMarco\, Built to Spill\, Japanese Breakfast\, Zookraught and many more. Gaining inspiration from historical photographers such as Charles Peterson (who photographed Nirvana) and Danny Clinch (Pearl Jam)\, and tour photographers such as Pooneh Ghana (DJO) and Travis Trautt (Ekkstacy).\n\nFuller’s photos have garnered attention on social media channels\, and he is excited to share his photography with the public in print form for the first time\, as “From the Pit” represents his gallery debut. A special slideshow ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM\, highlighting and recognizing volunteers from across the Upper County area. \nCommunity members are encouraged to submit volunteer photos to be included in the slideshow.
