“We want to hear your thoughts on potential sites for a new I-90 weigh and inspection station. Share your comments with us by visiting the online open house, which is now open until Wednesday, May 22.

“A new weigh and inspection station is part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project. You may be asking yourself, why weigh in on a project so far west of you? Well, one of the proposed locations for the new station is just outside Cle Elum.

“The current, westbound weigh station at the I-90/SR 18 interchange must close to make way for the interchange improvements. With this project, WSDOT is working with the Washington State Patrol to build a new weigh and inspection station on eastbound I-90.

“The project team looked carefully at six different locations and narrowed the location options to milepost 33.5, at 468th Avenue Southeast, just outside of North Bend and milepost 80.3, just outside of Cle Elum. In addition to these two locations, the project team is looking at the feasibility of locating the weigh and inspection station at milepost 45.5, near the Bandera Airfield.

“We hope you check out the online open house and leave us your comments.”
