Taneum Road #3300 will be plowed from the Sno-Park up to the first washout during the week of February 25-28. A contractor needs to take a drill rig in there to get geologic information needed for the road repairs. The road will be plowed on Monday, and the contractor should be out by the end of the day Thursday. Nick Whitman will re-groom the plowed section to the best of his ability on Friday March 1. WHILE THE DRILL RIG IS THERE, THE ROAD WILL BE CLOSED TO EVERYONE INCLUDING SNOWMOBILES. This is because they have to set up in a narrow spot where getting around the rig – even with a snowmobile – would be very hazardous. Please plan to avoid Taneum Road that week, and please help us get the word out on this.
