From the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners:
Kittitas County, WA – 03/17/2020 – To minimize public health risk, Kittitas County has decided to reduce in-person customer service while maintaining business operations. In light of Governor Inslee’s proclamations yesterday, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) will be asking departments and offices to continue providing service; however, we ask customers to not enter areas within the Kittitas County government agencies.
Office and departments that will be open to the public are Kittitas County Courts, Clerk, Probation, Solid Waste, and Public Health.

Office and departments that will be closed to in-person customer services include Assessor, Auditor, Board of County Commissioners, Human Resources, Treasurer, Community Development Services (CDS), and Public Works.

“We will do our best to maintain the balance of safety and service,” states Kittitas County Commissioner Brett Wachsmith.  “At this time, we are asking that customers contact their specific Kittitas County governmental agency via phone for customer service.”

For offices that remain open to provide in-person services, we continue to ask the public to not enter Kittitas County government offices or departments if they are experiencing any symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle/body aches, headaches, fatigue, vomiting and/or diarrhea.  Anyone who is feeling sick can contact the county department or office by phone for customer assistance.
