Discover Pass Free Days – National Public Lands Day

September 27

The Washington State Discover Pass Program has designated 12 Discover Pass free days for 2025. On these days, visitors will not need Discover Pass to park a vehicle at a Washington state park or on lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW)

National Public Lands Day was established in 1994 and is held annually on the fourth Saturday in September. It celebrates the connection between people and green spaces in their communities, inspiring environmental stewardship and encouraging the use of open space for education, recreation and health benefits.
