The Kittitas County Incident Management Team (IMT) is waiting to hear a response from the state regarding our application for Phase 3. As of today, Kittitas County has six active cases of COVID-19 (98 confirmed, 92 recovered). According to the Phase and Risk Assessment via the state COVID-19 page (https://coronavirus.wa.gov/), Kittitas County continues to meet all of the required Washington State Key Metrics Goals that are listed on the state’s Phase and Risk Assessment Dashboard.
Although other counties in Washington State are moving to Phases 2 and 3, Kittitas County is surrounded by counties that continue to remain in Phase 1. Of the five counties that remain in Phase 1, we are neighbors to three of those five counties (Yakima, Chelan, Douglas). Our county is doing an exceptional job to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and we ask that everyone carry on with those efforts.
