KITTITAS – The Kittitas County Incident Management Team (IMT) is asking for the community’s help in reaching Phase 3 by June 17, 2020. We are asking individuals and businesses to be aware of their own prevention efforts to help reach our goal of entering Phase 3 by mid-June. In order for Washington State to grant Phase 3 to Kittitas County we are required to show that Phase 2 can occur safely.

We acknowledge the frustration, pain, and disappointment that people are experiencing right now.  We are asking everyone for their continued help in response to COVID-19 so that we can reestablish all of our businesses as soon as possible.  Our county has done an amazing job; as we enjoy Phase 2, we ask that residents continue to be mindful of prevention efforts by wearing masks, creating safety plans for your business, and limiting your exposures to five people outside your immediate household each week.

All businesses are required to have a safety plan at this time and resources are available at the Kittitas County website. For businesses and organizations wanting information as to whether they can open during Phase 2, please visit https://coronavirus.wa.gov/ and go to the link What You Need to Know and then What’s Open & Closed.  Additional information about Washington’s Phased Plan can also be found on that website.
