Operation Christmas Child Drop-Off Locations will open to receive shoebox gifts packed with toys and other items during National Collection Week Nov. 16-23.
Their mission is to provide shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to children around the world affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
To donate, fill an average-size shoebox with items for a girl or a boy, age ranges 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. You can also include a personal note and photo. Find a step-by-step guide on the How to Pack a Shoebox webpage.
You can download the basic boy and girl shoebox shipping labels here . If you choose this method, remember to include your $9 donation per shoebox. Or you can download shipping labels through Follow Your Box by making your $9 donation online. This method will allow you to learn the destination of your shoebox gift.
Finally, take your shoebox gift to a local drop-off location during National Collection Week, Nov. 16–23, 2020.
Individuals and families making plans to visit a drop-off location in their area can learn more about what to expect in this year’s curbside drop-off experience on the organization’s Important COVID-19 Updates webpage.
