ROSLYN, WA – Effective beginning July 12, 2013 at 12:00 a.m., the City of Roslyn issued a burn ban for Roslyn, due to extreme fire danger. “Unfortunately, with all this beautiful weather comes the dreaded Burn Ban,” said Roslyn City Planner Shawna Graham, “It has become apparent that with the fuel moisture content currently seen in our region, the relative humidity and the projected weather patterns, that a burn ban is necessary.”

No outdoor fires are allowed, with the one exception of GAS barbecue grills only.

The burn ban is implemented based on the following criteria in the affected area:
·         Low moisture content of 1,000 hour fuels
·         Weather conditions and patterns
·         Topography
·         Fuel types
