Kittitas County, WA -07/03/2016

An extreme fire hazard currently exists in Kittitas County due to high temperatures, lowering relative humidity and low fuel moisture content of 10, 100 and 1,000 hr. fuels.

As of Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 12:00 pm, a burn ban is in effect in all unincorporated areas of Kittitas County.

All burning, including recreational fires and briquette barbecues are prohibited in the above listed Fire Districts, with the following exceptions:

Snoqualmie Pass Fire and Rescue will allow small 2’ x 2’ recreational fires in approved pits with Fire Chief Approval.
Fire District 4 (Vantage) will allow small 2’x3’ campfires within the campgrounds.
