ELLENSBURG – Thad Brewer, a Central Washington University BFA student artist, presents his senior solo exhibition, Fragile – Handle with Care. The exhibit is scheduled for Nov. 2nd – 6th, from 9 am-5 pm at Gallery 231 located in Randall Hall.

Fragile – Handle with Care is an installation of cyanotype images and ceramic sculptures that I have created to explore the concept of memory against the reliability and limitations of our perceptions of reality while I witness the progression of my mother’s Alzheimer’s disease,” Brewer says.

Thad Brewer grew up in Indiana and moved to Washington from Tempe, Arizona in 1991. He plans to remain in the region and continue making art while exploring community and public art projects after his graduation.

Brewer will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in November 2020.

Gallery 231 is located on the CWU Ellensburg campus on the second floor of Randall Hall, 700 E. Dean Nicholson Blvd. The exhibit runs through Friday, Nov. 6th. The gallery is open 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday.

Parking in the CWU lot at Dean Nicholson Arena, directly North of Randall Hall, is free after 4:30 pm on weekdays.
