Fair and Rodeo schedule not affected by Taylor Bridge Fire

The 2012 Kittitas County Fair and Rodeo has not been cancelled.

Kittitas County Undersheriff Clay Myers sent out the following memo, “This message is being sent in response to widespread rumors, prompted by an intentionally misleading email message, put out annually by the same individual, claiming that the event has been cancelled.

“The Fair and Rodeo will go on as normally scheduled, as Kittitas County enters the recovery stage of the Taylor Bridge Fire.  Kittitas County and the Department of Natural Resources are teaming together to staff a fire information booth at the Fair.  Thank you to the Washington State Department of Transportation for donating their booth to the County and DNR for this purpose.”
