PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Hiring for Temporary Jobs with the Forest Service
WENATCHEE, WA (September 5, 2019) – The USDA Forest Service is hiring for temporary or seasonal jobs across the nation. Temporary positions with the USDA Forest Service are a great way to gain valuable experience, work outdoors, see beautiful countryside, and get exposure to different careers.

Locally, in north central Washington, the US Forest Service and Omak WorkSource will be holding a hiring event on September 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone interested in 2020 seasonal jobs with the Forest Service.
A USFS recruiter will be onsite at Omak WorkSource from 9-10 a.m. and 4-5 p.m. on September 17. WorkSource staff can assist anyone wanting more information about the positions, or assistance with the application process.
Positions being hired for are forestry technician positions including climbing ranger, fire dispatch, fire suppression, helitack, hotshot, recreation and trails technicians, biological technician, engineering and surveying technicians, laborers, customer service representatives including information receptionists and visitor information assistants, archaeological technician, hydrology technician, animal packer, range technician, and more.
