WASHINGTON – The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) is updating an existing Employment Standards Administrative Policy and creating one new policy.

L&I encourages public feedback and participation with these policy development efforts. In order to be transparent and seek input from the diverse business and labor communities, L&I is accepting feedback on these proposed policy updates.

L&I is currently seeking stakeholder feedback on the following policies:

  • A.1 – MINIMUM WAGE ACT APPLICABILITY
  • B.2 – PAID SICK LEAVE – NORMAL HOURLY COMPENSATION

Details about the updates made to each policy are contained in a cover sheet. We are asking the public to review the draft administrative policies by COB Monday, November 30, 2020.

Stakeholders can submit their comments on the department’s engagement site, or via email to ESRules@Lni.wa.gov.       Feedback submitted via email will be added to the engagement site as well. Please note that while a user account for the engagement site is required to submit feedback, an account is not required to view the content posted to the website.
