OLYMPIA  – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will hold its next regular meeting virtually on July 30.
In accordance with the governor’s Safe Start guidelines and an effort to limit in-person interactions, the commission has changed its regularly scheduled meeting from July 29 and 30 at Skamania Lodge to a one-day online meeting and work session. The meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams.
Commission action includes the approval of the agency’s capital and operating budget proposals, amending a lease with the Fort Worden Public Development Authority, authorization of several grant requests and the sale of surplus land to the State Department of Transportation, and the adoption of the 10-year strategic plan. The commission will also make changes to its 2020 meeting schedule.
In addition, the commission will hear updates and reports from executive leadership about the agency’s COVID-19 efforts.
