This Friday interested parties with properly licensed classic cars and hot rods will be meeting at Red Horse Diner at 6 pm Friday evening and noon on Sunday to drive through Ellensburg and celebrate Labor Day weekend while being safe and staying socially distanced.
Please no political signs or flags, but Western Attire, Clowns, and celebration of harvest and livestock are encouraged.
The event isn’t to encourage people to gather, but families who are supporting local businesses will be able to see these vehicles drive by while dining or going about their normal business.
Vehicles will meet at Red Horse Diner and then head East on University Way beginning at 6 pm turn Right on Main St, Left on 2nd Avenue, Left on Pearl, Right on 5th, Right on Pine, Left on 3rd, Left on Ruby and then back out to University where vehicles can either return to their homes or the drivers can support local small businesses by going out to dine.
It is essential that the rules of the road are followed. The procession will probably get broken up and stalled by traffic lights, but it will still be encouraging to local families out to eat.
