KITTITAS – Per the Governor’s April 29th Addendum and clarification, we can continue to provide building inspection per these instructions:
1. Inspection requests will only be accepted for construction projects that a) are needed to fulfill an obligation under a contract effective prior to March 23, 2020, or b) are authorized by a government-issued permit obtained prior to March 23, 2020. By requesting an inspection, you are stating that you meet these requirements.
2. Inspection requests may be submitted by telephone to (509) 962-7694 or on-line at: https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/building/inspection-request.aspx
3. CDS will limit the total number of inspections to 45 per day. Inspection requests received above this number will be moved to the next inspection day. We will try to contact you if your inspection must be moved to the following day, however, it will be your responsibility to check the inspection schedule after 4:30 pm to verify your inspection schedule at https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/building/inspection-schedule.aspx
4. CDS inspectors will conduct in-person site inspections for locations only when such sites are following the Governor’s Phase 1 Construction Restart COVID-19 Job Site Requirements. CDS inspectors may require contractors to clear the job site prior to inspections. CDS inspectors will refuse to conduct inspections on any site that is not being maintained in accordance with the safety standards.
