Kittitas County, WA -03/10/2016 – 2016 Kittitas County Tax Statements Updated
Taxpayers are noticing a watermark with the word “Delinquent” printed inside three boxes on the 2016 Tax Statement. The watermark was added in response to past complaints that delinquencies were not highlighted. It was hoped that this would bring attention to the delinquent sections of the statement. However, when there are no delinquencies listed in this area, it has caused confusion as many taxpayers believe it means that they are delinquent. If there are any delinquencies on a property, information about the tax roll year, tax amount due and interest owed will be printed in this area.
